Celebrities including television personalities Piers Morgan, Susanna Reid, Carol Vorderman and Joanna Lumley are among stars lining up to speak of their respect for the armed forces as they give their backing to the launch of Forces TV on Freeview.

Good Morning Britain hosts Piers and Susanna tell of their admiration of the armed forces in a screen address in which Susanna also tells viewers that if they love the armed forces, they "will love Forces TV" - the home of entertainment and military life.

She speaks of the up-to-date news, brand-new documentaries and other military-based shows on Forces TV as part of a series of video shorts to highlight how an even wider audience will now gain access to the service on Freeview, with everything from Forces News to classic 80s comedy and drama on offer.

Carol Vorderman, of Channel 4’s Countdown fame and ambassador for the RAF Air Cadets, echoes their sentiments, as the well-known supporter of the armed forces tells Forces TV of her excitement at the launch.

 

Joanna Lumley, the Bafta award winning actor and Gurkha advocate, had some lovely things to say about the channel as she described herself as an "Army Brat" and "Army Brat grandmother".
