Veteran credits military career for successful car detailing business

A former soldier has described how the military discipline instilled in him in the British Army has helped his car cleaning and detailing business succeed in civilian life.

Ben Toomey, owner of Boosters n Bubbles, told Forces News "the military instills in you that... extreme level of standards".

"I've carried it with me ever since," he said.

"If you are asked to do a task pre-military, you could do it to a high standard," he said.

"The military teaches you that actually there are more levels above that that you didn't even realise you were capable of."

Ben, who served in the Household Cavalry Regiment, deployed on operational tours in Bosnia and was based in Combermere Barracks, Windsor.
