Water under the bridge, but tanks over as Nato engineers put river-crossing skills to the test
Nato allies have been testing and demonstrating their bridge-building skills in Poland.
UK personnel were among the Nato troops on the Polish-led multinational exercise, training in constructing a crossing over the Vistula River.
Exercise Dragon is part of Steadfast Defender, Nato's largest exercise in decades, bringing together 20,000 soldiers from 10 countries.
The Nato allies involved with the UK river crossing near Korzeniewo were France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey and the US.
The footage above shows shots of Polish Leopard 2 tanks using different types of amphibious assets to effect a crossing.
Other vehicles involved in the crossing were Spanish Leopard 2s, US Abrams tanks, Turkish BMC Vuran, German Boxers and British Army Jackals.
