Britain, France and Germany have come together to call for dialogue, as US-Iran tensions escalate.

The Europeans said those involved needed to take a pause and consider how their actions could influence the situation.

President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, says his country is in fact 'ready to talk to the US' - if Washington meets its demands.

He wants a lifting of sanctions and economic pressure from the Americans - and for them to return to the 2015 nuclear deal.

President Trump pulled the US out of the agreement - reached with other world powers - last year.
