Troubled Ajax programme document 'enough to make you weep', MP says

Defence politicians faced up to the first round of 2022 questions in the House of Commons, discussing the Ajax programme and an "alphabet soup" of accountability.

Labour's Nick Smith said the latest document on the troubled vehicle programme is "enough to make you weep", while Procurement Minister Jeremy Quin maintained there is "progress being made".

Meanwhile, the Government referenced "subsidised food and accommodation" alongside other allowances and schemes, when addressing a pay gap between certain personnel and police officers after six months' training.

There were also questions about Afghanistan and concern over former UK employees who have escaped the country and are now hiding in Pakistan.
