US President Donald Trump "really wants" to meet the Queen when he visits the UK in July, according to the US Ambassador to Britain.
It was confirmed yesterday that President Trump will visit the UK on July 13 - his first trip since becoming President in 2016.
However, it remains unclear whether he will meet the Queen or not.
Ambassador Robert Wood Johnson said details of the visit were yet to be finalised but he said he would "definitely" be coming to London, despite warnings of likely demonstrations.

Speaking to LBC radio, Mr Johnson said President Trump was "thick-skinned" to deal with any potential protests.
"I think he really wants to meet the Queen.
"I think he has a really positive view, he knows that the value-added of the royal family and what they bring to the table is enormous.
"You can really see it from an American perspective maybe even clearer than you can see it here."
He even suggested that he may be able to win over critics like London Mayor Sadiq Khan and Commons Speaker John Bercow.

"He's very thick-skinned. He knows what he wants to do and he speaks in a very clear and unusual way from most politicians.
"Most politicians don't weigh it out the way he does and so he is going to get a lot of criticism for that as people interpret where he is taking everything.
"But I think in the end, people are starting to, even now, realise that where he is going is a good direction."
Mr Khan said that when visiting London, President Trump would "experience an open and diverse city that has always chosen unity over division and hope over fear.
"He will also no doubt see that Londoners hold their liberal values of freedom of speech very dear."

Theresa May, however, has welcomed the visit:
"I am looking forward to welcoming President Trump to the United Kingdom for a working visit on July 13," the Prime Minister said.
Full details of the trip are yet to be announced, although various media reports have said Mr Trump will meet the Queen.
Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and Balmoral have been tipped as locations for the royal encounter.
Downing Street said further details of the visit will be released "in due course".
