Princess Anne has visited soldiers as they took part in training as part of Exercise Flying Falcon in Wiltshire.

The Princess Royal, who is Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Corps of Signals, visited 11 Signal as they were rehearsing the communications system that supports all of the British Army activity.

Royal Corps of Signals posted on its official Facebook account, that "Her Royal Highness's visit gave a huge morale boost to those she met".

Princess Anne has been Colonel-in-Chief of the Signals for more than 40 years.

During the visit, the Princess met Regular and Reserve soldiers from across the brigade to discuss the realities of working on the modern battlefield and into the cyber domain.

The brigade has deployed more than 900 soldiers across the UK and Germany to rehearse communications and command system support for the UK’s warfighting division.

Princess Anne has been busy on recent military engagements – in September she spent the weekend aboard HMS Albion as the ship took part in Exercise Joint Warrior.

Later in the month, she watched the reformation of 30 Squadron at RAF Brize Norton, inspecting personnel on the parade square.
