In Kupiansk, to the southeast of Kharkiv, Ukrainian forces claim to have recaptured the city from Russian forces, with soldiers raising the Ukrainian flag on the remains of Kupiansk's city council building.
In Pokrovsk, Ukrainian forces are reporting 50 clashes a day. The city's northern suburbs and industrial zone are being infiltrated by small teams of Russian troops.
