WATCH: RAF's Queen's Colour Squadron Mount Guard At Windsor

For the first time in six years, the RAF's Queen's Colour Squadron has mounted the guard at Windsor Castle.

The town of Windsor is preparing to host the wedding of Princess Eugenie later this week.

The Queen's Colour Squadron is the drill and ceremonial face of the RAF Regiment and responsible for representing the RAF at significant occasions.

The last time the unit mounted guard at Windsor Castle was 2012.

Sergeant Kevin John Butterworth told Forces News: "We are the ceremonial unit for the Royal Air Force and we represent at all state and ceremonial.

"We do London public duties nearly every year.

"Most prominent this year when we were involved with the RAF100 celebrations - we were mounting guard at the same time as the RAF100 parade was ongoing.

"It's a big thing for this squadron - we don't tend to work in the palaces and Windsor Castle very often."

The Squadron can be seen changing the guard at Windsor Castle on various dates throughout October.
