King Charles and Queen Camilla have been celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary in style during their state visit to Italy - with a flypast from the Red Arrows.

The royal couple married on 9 April 2005 in a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall, followed by a blessing at St George's Chapel.

To commemorate their 20-year milestone, they released a portrait taken at Villa Wolkonsky in Rome.

The four-day trip aims to reinforce the close ties between the UK and Italy.

Their engagements include a tour of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, as well as a state banquet at the Quirinal Palace in Rome.

It's the King's first overseas engagement of the year as he continues his public duties while having ongoing cancer treatment.

After arriving at the Quirinal Palace in Rome, they were greeted with a ceremony that included national anthems and military honours.

The Union Jack was raised, military horses took to the red carpet and the royals were greeted by the Band of the Welsh Guards and Italy's Sassari Brigade Band.
