Red Arrows flyover and French Army guard welcome King Charles and Queen Camilla to Paris
The Red Arrows and their French air force counterparts have treated King Charles and Queen Camilla to a flypast as the royal couple arrived in Paris at the start of a three-day state visit.
Charles and Camilla landed at Paris's Orly Airport before heading to the Arc de Triomphe, where they paid tribute to the French and British soldiers who were lost during the two world wars at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The royal pair, who were welcomed by a guard of honour from the French Army, watched the Red Arrows fly over the capital along with French aerobatic display team Patrouille de France.
Charles met French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte before being invited to symbolically light the monument's eternal flame as part of the ceremony under the Arc.
The two leaders inspected the guard during their ceremonial welcome, before shaking hands and speaking with military veterans and representatives of local veteran organisations.
Queen Camilla was also invited to sign the Livre d'Or [Golden Book] during the ceremony.

Afterwards, the royal couple were due to be transported to the Elysee Palace, the President's official residence, where Charles and Mr Macron were to sit down for talks.
Charles and Camilla were due to be guests of honour at a banquet in the Hall or Mirrors in the Palace of Versailles later on Wednesday evening.
Both the King and Mr Macron are addressing the 160 guests, who include high-profile figures chosen for their contribution to UK-French relations.
Later in the week, when the couple travel to Bordeaux, which has around 39,000 British people living there, they will meet UK and French military personnel to hear how the two nations are collaborating on defence.
