Footage appears to show Wagner mercenary leader meeting fighters in Belarus
Footage has emerged which appears to show the Wagner mercenary leader, who led a rebellion aimed at Russia's military commanders and president Vladimir Putin.
The video seems to be of Wagner founder Yevgeny Prigozhin greeting his fighters in Belarus, in what would be his first public appearance since he led last month's uprising.
The Wagner Group, led by Prigozhin, marched on Moscow but stopped short of a possible confrontation with Russian forces.
Last month, a former senior US Commander said that Putin may try to use the Wagner Group mutiny to justify cutting back his Special Military Operation.
Lieutenant General (Retired) Ben Hodges said the chaos sown by the insurrection could also affect the willingness of Russian soldiers to fight and die in Ukraine.
The Wagner Group's march on Moscow remains a mystery, with their aims yet to be made public knowledge.
