Russia Holds Tank Olympics

Tank drivers have had the chance to show off their skills at the annual International Tank Biathlon held in Russia. Tankies from twelve countries took part with events challenging their driving and shooting skills. The United States were invited to take part but did not join the challenge.

The twelve countries taking part were Angola, Armenia, Belarus, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, Serbia and Venezuela.

The event also had an opening ceremony with tanks firing coloured smoke while 'waltzing' in formation. There was also a historical display with tanks from the Second World War.
