Two soldiers are starting a '12 Days Of Christmas' fitness challenge on Christmas Day to raise funds for charity.

WO1 (Master Gunner) Fletcher Unwin and Sgt Tom Hart will be raising money for the Royal Artillery Charitable Fund by taking on a back-to-back fitness challenge.

The fund offers support to all soldiers and officers and their dependents, whether they are serving, retired, divorced or widowed.

The pair will be completing 12 Combat Fitness Tests - one each day. The test involves carrying a 25kg Bergen over eight miles in under two hours, and is usually completed once a year as an assessment.

They are aiming to raise £1,000 and so far have reached £300 for the Royal Artillery Charitable Fund.

They have asked other members of the Gunners family to pledge to raise £50 and join them for one of the days.

Their progress can be followed on social media via their Facebook page and any donations can be made here
