Welsh Guards colonel Prince William talks mental health with soldiers at Windsor barracks

The Welsh Guards welcomed their Colonel, Prince William at Combermere Barracks in Windsor, and talked physical and mental health with their Royal visitor.
Prince William engaged with serving soldiers, discussing operational readiness, innovative wellbeing approaches, and witnessing rehabilitation programmes firsthand.
"It was an honour to share with him the forward-looking plans of the Welsh Guards, our vision for the future, and the strides we’re making in both physical and mental rehabilitation," a social media post from the Welsh Guards read.

A highlight of the day was showcasing to the Prince of Wales the impactful support provided to personnel, ensuring their physical and mental wellbeing remains a priority.
Prince William has shown a steadfast commitment to promoting mental health awareness and support initiatives, actively engaging in advocacy efforts, launching campaigns, and spearheading projects aimed at destigmatising mental health issues.
The Prince assumed the role of Colonel of the Welsh Guards in 2023, a fitting position as King Charles handed him the Prince of Wales title following his accession, the traditional title reserved for the heir to the British throne.
In a post on Facebook, the Welsh Guards said: "Today was a proud moment for us all, reinforcing the deep connections within our military family."
