The Ministry of Defence has launched a tender for Self-Contained Air Diving Equipment (SCADE), with a budget of up to ÂŁ782,000.

This initiative aims to enhance the current diving systems used by military personnel.

The MOD plans to deliver about 600 modular self-contained compressed natural breathing air diving systems to support various military diving operations, including training.

These systems must be versatile enough for use in oceans, harbours, and inland waterways, regardless of weather conditions.

As per the conditions of the tender, the new equipment will be lightweight, rugged, and compliant with UK safety standards.

It must also allow for quick setup and provide both permanent and temporary air supply options.

The SCADE project focuses on future-proofing, allowing for ongoing upgrades to keep the systems relevant throughout their service life.
