Foremast placed onto new Type 31 frigate HMS Venturer at Rosyth dockyard

The foremast of the brand-new Type 31 frigate HMS Venturer has been carefully manoeuvred into place at Rosyth dockyard, footage has revealed.

Babcock, the defence company building the vessel, released a video showing a timelapse of the mast being moved from the venturer building to the dockside, after which it was elevated in the Scottish air and delicately positioned.

Once she is built, the ship will be involved in maritime security operations, such as counter-piracy, and humanitarian and disaster relief.
