Meet the Royal Marine-Turned Viking
The Vikings are regarded as some of the most fearsome warriors in history.
Thoughout the ninth and 11th centuries, they raided Britain's coastal settlements and developed a reputation for brutal battle tactics.
And now hundreds of peace-loving Vikings have descended on York for an annual festival of food, fighting and fireworks - with a Royal Marine veteran with a taste for Norse culture among them.
