British Military Aircraft History Preserved In Scotland

For nearly 40 years the Nimrod maritime patrol aircraft was a common site over the skies of Kinloss in Scotland.
 
But as part of the 2010 Strategic Defence and Security Review she was taken out of service and plans for a replacement were scrapped.
 
Now a team of enthusiasts - including some former Nimrod crew - have launched a project to preserve her history.
