'Fantastic Opportunity' For Novice Military Boxers

Ahead of the Inter Services boxing championships next month, troops have been battling it out in regions across the UK.

In Scotland, 18 boxers took to the ring at Her Majesty's Naval Base Clyde in Faslane.

HMS Neptune's boxing night is an annual fixture in the calendar, with the Royal Navy and Royal Marines battling it out against the British Army for the title of Northern Regions champion.

For the novice boxers it acts as great experience, prepping them for the Inter Regional competitions, and maybe one day the Inter Services.

It's always a night full of drama, and this year was no exception.
