Tri-Service
Are you up for the ultimate challenge?
Do you have what it takes to join one of the most adventurous teams in the world?
The Adaptive Grand Slam (AGS) team are a group of injured former service men, attempting to climb the highest peak on every continent and reach both the North and South poles.
The AGS team are hoping to break four world records in becoming;
- The first disabled team to walk unsupported to the geographic north pole
- The first disabled team to walk unsupported to the geographic south pole
- The first disabled team to climb the seven summits
- The first disabled team to complete the grand slam
Only 11 people have ever completed the challenge, and none of them had life changing injuries. Now the team are looking to add to their numbers.
Kate Wathall spoke to team leader and former officer in the Parachute Regiment Martin Hewitt.
