How Brain Injury Veterans Are Fighting Back

Yoga and tea may not spring to mind as the most useful weapons.

When it comes to the treatment of veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury (TBI), however, they can be incredibly helpful tools.

The UK's first ever support group for people wounded in this way has now been set up to fill a gap in the support system for veterans wounded in this way.

The man behind it is former Army Captain Rob Cromley-Hawke, who was severely injured by an IED in Afghanistan.

His TBI left him with no sense of time, so he now has to get through each day with a series of alarms.

He also no longer recognises signs he's hungry, so has difficulty gauging how much food to eat with each meal.
