Service Personnel Continue To Aid Flood-Hit Communities
British forces are continuing the vital work of helping communities hit by flooding over Christmas.
It comes as Storm Frank batters parts of the UK, with four severe flood warnings in place in Lancashire and Yorkshire.
Since Christmas Day, 600 troops have been deployed to those two counties, as well as to Cumbria. 1,000 soldiers are also on standby if the situation gets worse.
It comes after reports emerged of looting from flooded homes in Yorkshire.
One of the areas hit worst by the flooding was the village of Croston in Lancashire, where an RAF Chinook helicopter delivered 400 tonnes of sandbags to shore up the local river.
Four Army regiments are currently on the ground: 2nd Battalion, Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, 2nd Battalion, The Yorkshire Regiment, and troops from the Light Dragoons and the Royal Lancers.
