US Ambassador: "Special Relationship Will Remain If 'Brexit' Happens"
The US Ambassador to the UK has told Forces TV that the special relationship will remain intact regardless of whether Britain votes to stay in or out of the European Union.
Ambassador Matthew Barzun however added that it was his belief that the UK should vote to remain in the EU:
“We think that it is not only good for our country, but good for our close friends in the UK and the people around the world… would all benefit from a strong UK and a strong EU”
He also spoke about security in the UK and the threats facing NATO.
