"We Were There" - The Story Of HMS Sheffield

Eyewitness accounts of the moment HMS Sheffield was hit by an Exocet missile during the Falklands war, are at the heart of a new episode of "We Were There", tonight only on Forces TV.

It's a brand new series looking at some of the key moments in modern British military history from the perspective of those who witnesssed them first-hand.

This week the programme talks to six men who were on board the ship when she was struck by the Argentine missile in 1982.

The attack claimed the lives of 20 British sailors and eventually caused HMS Sheffield to become the first Royal Navy ship to be sunk since World War II, when she foundered some days later.

Don't miss it - Tune in to Forces TV at 9pm - Sky 264, Freesat 652 and Virgin 244 #WeWereThere
