Army American Football player Jack Rice signs for professional club London Warriors

Army American Football player Jack Rice has signed for Wimbledon-based professional club London Warriors as their new linebacker.
Rice, who serves in the Royal Anglian Regiment, will play in the American Football League Europe (AFLE) for the club, a new league that was only founded in December 2025 and is in the middle of its inaugural season.
The league currently features eight teams from seven different countries, with the London Warriors being the only UK-based team currently taking part.
Rice has been an integral part of the Army American Football set-up since it was formally recognised as an official sport in the British Army in 2021.
He was part of the Army team that won the Inter Services title in 2024, but have since conceded the title to the Royal Air Force for the past two years.
American Football was granted category 2 status by the UK Armed Forces' Sports Board in 2025.
