
Army triathlete qualifies for Ironman 70.3 World Championships

Army triathlete Lance Corporal Jenson Cozens has secured his place in next year's Ironman 70.3 World Championships after a strong performance at the Ironman 70.3 in Vichy, France.
LCpl Cozens, who competes for the Army Triathlon Association, completed his swim with a time of 00:34:12 before hopping on the bike which he completed with a time of 02:31:26.
He then completed his run in 01:35:21 to cross the finish line to total a time of 04:46:37.
Reacting to his performance with a post on Instagram, he said: "Brilliant race with even better scenery, more experience gained in my second year in the sport on a tough and hot course, also a little surprise securing a slot in the world champs for next year."

LCpl Cozens' performance in the Ironman 70.3 follows in the footsteps of fellow Army Triathlete Kat Matthews, who's performances in the Ironman 70.3 saw her win Sportswoman of the Year at the 2023 UKAF Sports Awards.
Next year's Ironman 70.3 World Championships will take place in Taupō, New Zealand on 14-15 December 2024.
