Army volleyball to take on Fijian counterparts in Inter Services-style tournament in Suva

The British Army men's and women's volleyball teams are set for their up and coming tour of Fiji, where they will take on teams from the Fiji Military Forces in an Inter Services-style tournament.
The event, which will take place at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, will see the British Army go up against their military counterparts as well as teams from the Fiji Corrections Service, the National Fire Authority and the Fiji Police.
The tour is a chance for the British Army to engage with the local Fijian community as well as further recognition of their strong connection with the Pacific island nation - where there's a significant presence of Fijian-born players within their squads.
Fijian soldiers have a longstanding history of service in the British Army, which also extends to their sports teams.
The British Army will also participate in a number of scrimmage matches against some local Fijian teams as they build up to the tournament.
Ahead of their trip to Fiji, the British Army men's team have recently enjoyed success in the England National Shield, where they dominated over Liverpool to advance to the semi-finals, where they'll play DARKSTAR Derbyshire on 21 March.
