Army boxer crashes out of Commonwealth Games at round-of-16 stage

Corporal Megan Reid has lost in the round of 16 at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The Army boxer had previously told Forces News she was aiming for the gold medal but will leave Birmingham empty-handed after a unanimous decision defeat.
English-medal hopeful Gemma Richardson provided a tough opponent for the Army corporal who lost all three rounds.

The judges' scores were close – a well-timed punch here and there could have swung it in Cpl Reid's favour.
She will now move on and set her sights on the Paris Olympic Games.
