
Military boxing stars win medals at Europe's most famous amateur boxing competition

Boxers from across the military have enjoyed medal success at the 2026 Haringey Box Cup, which took place at the Great Hall at Alexandra Palace.
An all-military match-up in the female 60kg finals was one of the main highlights – with Army boxer Terri-Leigh Stewart beating her RAF rival Frankie Lyall by a 4-1 split decision to win gold.
Royal Navy PTI Sophie Colebourn beat Dutch national champion Nicolette van de Water in the female 70kg finals, winning gold with a 4-1 split decision.
Royal Marine Commando William Winwood had to settle for silver in the male 70kg finals after losing out to Irish champion Ryan Jenkins by a unanimous decision.
The RAF had further medal success with Jaydon Johnson winning silver in the male 60kg finals and Arran Devine following up with another silver medal in the male 70kg competition.

The Haringey Box Cup is famously known as Europe's most famous open boxing tournament which takes place at the iconic Grand Hall of Alexandra Palace in London.
The tournament, which this year has attracted up to 500 boxers from 14 different countries, has earned its reputation as the competition "where champions are born" since it launched in 2008.
Famous names including Anthony Joshua, Katie Taylor, Chris Eubank Jr, Kellie Harrington and Nicola Adams all won titles at the Haringey Box Cup before going on to becoming World, Olympic and professional title holders.
