RAF boxers Cam Lewis and Amelia Kennedy win England National Amateur titles in Derby

Royal Air Force boxers Cameron Lewis and Amelia Kennedy have made history for their service after both won titles at the English National Amateur Championships in Derby.
Lewis and Kennedy became the first RAF boxers to reach the finals of England’s most prestigious amateur boxing competition since 1998, just weeks after the RAF won their historic Inter Services team title.
Cameron Lewis defeated his opponent, Kamil Nowak from Basingstoke, by a split-points decision in the men’s U80kg category, adding his first national title to what has already been an impressive 2026.
Amelia Kennedy comfortably won her fight against Impact’ Abc’s Grace Massey, by a unanimous decision in the women’s U54kg category, making it a double win for both RAF boxers.
Both Lewis and Kennedy have been invited to the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield at the end of April.
They will be assessed for potential places on the England Senior Squad as well as GB Boxing's World Class Programme.
