The RAF boxing team has been competing in Guernsey ahead of March’s Inter Services Championships.

The annual event will be held in Aldershot on 27 March and the RAF have been preparing by being part of a UK Select team in the competition.

Out of the seven Air Force competitors fighting, only two managed to pick up a win by unanimous decision.

Bethany Shaw was unfortunate to narrowly lose to Natalie Granger by a split decision.

After that, Jack Steele suffered the same fate after a battling display against Cass Straughn.

Ben Clixby faced a tough task against the Russian middleweight Gogercaks.

The RAF will be looking win the Inter Services title for the first time in a number of years in Aldershot.

A unanimous decision lost continued the RAF’s bad night.

Josh Broderick was next to be on the losing side. He was defeated on a unanimous decision by Marcus Magloire.

Liam Fox got the first Air Force win of the night in the Welterweight bout against Mason Smale.

That momentum continued into George Westpfel's encounter with Dan Maree.

The Air Force team captain put in a top quality performance to beat his opponent.

The night ended with Kieran Bailey returning to the ring after not competing for a year.

A split decision went in the way of his opponent Chris Summer, but Bailey’s performance was encouraging for the RAF.
