Opening Inter Services women's championship match postponed due to bad weather
The first match of the Inter Services 40-over women’s cricket championships between the RAF and the Royal Navy has been abandoned due to rain.
Despite there being a couple of hours of play where the Navy were all out for 67, the RAF only got three overs into their innings before the heavens opened.
That was below the required target - they needed 10 overs to be completed to make it a game.

With no sign of the rain stopping, the officials made the decision to abandon the game and will use the allocated rain day of Thursday to replay it.
The Army are set to kick off their tournament against the Navy today, but with more rain scheduled at Burnaby Road, the competition could be delayed further.
