AGC Captain 'Absolutely Buzzing' After Cup-Winning Farewell
Adjutant General's Corps (AGC) winning the 2021 Edwards Cup gave team captain Corporal Libby Dixon an "absolutely brilliant" end to her military career.
The UKAF striker scored the opener and lifted the trophy after AGC beat the Royal Logistic Corps (RLC) in Cirencester.
The match was the last appearance in Cpl Dixon's military football career as she is set to leave the Army.
"I'm absolutely buzzing – there's no words to describe it!" said Cpl Dixon.
"It's my last game with the AGC. I've spent 11 years with this corps team and I'm absolutely made up to have the win in this final.
"It's been a long time coming," she added.
Cpl Dixon's opener was added to by Sophie Jones as AGC won the final comfortably despite Tracy Montgomery's late goal for the RLC.

It meant the AGC captain's final act for the team was lifting the Edwards Cup.
Cpl Dixon revealed she had been trying not to think about that moment before the match.
She said: "Do you know what? I tried not to think about it.
"Being my last game, I didn't want to put pressure on myself but it's been absolutely brilliant.
"I couldn't have asked for more."
In her interview with Forces News, Cpl Dixon praised her teammates in the AGC as well as the Army and UKAF teams.
"The girls are absolutely brilliant – from the coaching staff to all the girls," she said.
"They'll go far with or without me.
"The Army football team, the UK Armed Forces football team or the corps football team – it's been absolutely brilliant.
"It's made my career 100%.
"I'm not going to miss anything more than I miss football. It's going to be hard," she added.
