
Forces footballers experience highs and lows of Women's FA Cup first round

A number of forces footballers have been involved in the Women's FA Cup first round.
The RAF's Pip Wilson scored a stunning goal as Shrewsbury Town beat Northampton Town 3-2 at The Croud Meadow with her Air Force teammate Jeorgia Carr also starting the match.
Elsewhere, the British Army's Courtney Jones started in Exeter City's 4-0 demolition of Keynsham Town and Royal Navy team captain Nat Bavister appeared as AFC Portchester beat Winchester City 4-1.

However, it was disappointment for RAF striker Lucy Farrow who couldn't stop her Doncaster Belles side from losing 2-1 to St Helens.
Wolves Women, under the guidance of their head coach RAF Sergeant Dan McNamara, are safely through after a 7-1 win over Asfordby.
There were also a number of forces officials involved in both the women's and men's competitions over the weekend.
