Six forces football personnel have reached the third round of the Women's FA Cup.

RAF pair Pip Wilson and Jeorgia Carr both started Shrewsbury Town's penalty shoot-out success against Sheffield FC.

Wilson captained the team while Carr took the headlines by scoring the winning penalty.

Elsewhere, Air Force captain Cat Beaver is safely through after her Fulham team beat Royston Town 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller.

The British Army's Courtney Jones came on as a late sub as the Grecians knocked out Plymouth Argyle and won the Devon derby 5-1.

UK Armed Forces coaches Karl Milgate and Dan McNamara will see their teams into the third round too.

McNamara is head coach of the Wolves team that thrashed Sporting Khalsa 8-1 while UKAF head coach Milgate is on the coaching staff at Oxford United who pulled off one of the results of the round with a 1-0 victory over Watford.

There was disappointment for one forces footballer as Royal Navy captain Nat Bavister started AFC Portchester's 4-0 defeat to AFC Bournemouth.

The draw for the third round has thrown up a clash between military stars as McNamara's Wolves take on Shrewsbury Town with Wilson and Carr involved.

Elsewhere, Cat Beaver's Fulham will face Brentford, Karl Milgate's Oxford will host Bristol Rovers and Courtney Jones' Exeter will play Worthing.

All ties will be played on December 8.
