Afghanistan veteran and former Parachute Regiment soldier Jaco van Gass has successfully defended the team sprint title with Kadeena Cox and Jody Cundy.

Up against Spain in the final of the C1 to C5 750m team sprint, the trio stayed ahead throughout the race, winning won with almost two seconds to spare.

The victory makes two golds for van Gass as the Paralympics track cycling comes to a close, with the British para cyclist having successfully defended both the titles he won in Tokyo.

Elsewhere, RAF veteran Stu Robinson missed out on a gold in the wheelchair rugby at this year's Paralympic games after losing to the USA in the semi-finals in Paris.

Japan beat Australia 52-51 to earn their place in the final.
