The Royal Navy telemark team celebrated a stunning afternoon in their first event of Meribel 2026 as they secured every spot on both men's and women's giant slalom podiums.

Ollie Wotton was the winner of the men's race while Georgiana Altham was champion of the women's race.

The Navy's dominance is an ominous sign for their opponents, with Stefan Hurst and Ellie Thorn from the British Army hoping to break the spell in their next events.

The men's podium was completed by James French (second) and Tom Wotton (third), with under three seconds between French and the winner.

In the women's race, Amy Tarver took second spot while Lily-Mae Fisher finished in third.
