Exercise Mudmaster: Who wins when the Army's best take on civilians?
Some of the British Army's best off-road drivers have been competing with civilians in Exercise Mudmaster.
The two-day event sees teams complete a series of challenging courses across Scotland – testing navigation, observation, discipline and safety skills.
Teams compete in either 4x4s, Army support vehicles or on motorcycles – which return to the competition for the first time in 10 years.
The British Army Motorsport Association event hosted is by 154 (Scottish) Royal Logistic Corps with more than 70 teams competing over all competitions.
Major Donald Urquhart said: "It's about the driver and navigator working as a team, the driver reading the terrain and driving appropriately, getting the right gears, getting it in diff-lock low range.

"The navigator obviously reading them out, reading the aerial photograph, looking out for the marker boards but also looking out for hazards and warning the driver, so it's a real team effort."
The competition began on Saturday and teams completed more than 20 stages over the two days.
