Army dominant against Navy in their quest for Inter Services title defence

Watch: The Army and the Navy clash at the Inter Services Netball Championships in Aldershot.

The British Army are one step closer to defending their Inter Services Netball title after beating the Royal Navy comfortably 49-18 in Aldershot.

With experienced players such as Fiji international Dee Bolakoro and Surrey Storm’s Amy Howell, the Army are well known for their quality and depth within their team.

They dominated the Navy in the first quarter where they built a hefty 13-1 lead.

The players from the Navy began to find their feet in the second quarter, whereas the Army doubled their goal tally to lead by 26-7 at half time.

The Navy began to shine in the third quarter, performing terrific passes and some impressive goals to keep the Army on their toes.

However, that wasn’t enough to stop the Army in their tracks as they cleared off into the distance leading the Navy 39-12 heading into the fourth and final quarter.

The Navy showed signs of great competitive potential for the future, working the Army hard in the final fifteen minutes.

It was however the Army’s day as they rounded off the final quarter with a commanding 49-18 win.

The Army will now face the Royal Air Force in the final day of the Inter Services on Friday, where the Inter Services title will be decided.
