Royal Marines jiu jitsu fighters grapple with UK's best coaches in London training camp

Royal Marine Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) fighters have been visiting clubs across London to train with some of the UK's top-flight BJJ coaches.
Commando BJJ fighters travelled to Hammersmith in London to work one to one with some of the UK's top coaches at the Roger Gracie Academy.
The academy, named after world champion fighter Roger Gracie, is world renowned for turning out some exceptional and world-class competitors, while also providing a relaxed and enjoyable training atmosphere.
The team received a private seminar with full-time coach Alex Smith, as well as a separate seminar hosted at RNR London with two of the top coaches in the UK, Mat Inman and Aidan Woodhouse.
They then had an evening of hard sparring at southwest London's Submission Grappling Club, home to world-class BJJ competitors Silviu Nastasa and Eoghan O'Flanagan before touring other clubs across London.
Following a successful week of being exposed to high-calibre and world-class athletes, interest in holding future training camps is high ahead of future competitions, including the Inter Services Championships in 2025.
