
Royal Navy Sports Awards: Don't miss Senior Service's special sporting awards

The Royal Navy will celebrate their best sporting stars with the 2025 Royal Navy Sports Awards on 2 December, and you can watch the ceremony live.
Coverage will begin at 20:30 GMT on the BFBS Forces News YouTube channel and on BFBS TV (for serving personnel overseas only), with catch-up services available on both platforms.
The nominees for the Sportsman of the Year award are hockey's Lieutenant Rich Jenkin and Colour Sergeant Colin Francis from Judo, while the female award sees cresta's Lieutenant Sarah Belcher, equestrian's Chief Petty Officer Amy Taylor and archery's Colour Sergeant Claire Walsh in contention.

The men's golf team have already been announced as winners of the Team of the Year award, while the young sportsperson accolade will be decided between Able Seaman Jessica Morrish from cycling and triathlon, Able Seaman Robbie Sheppard from martial arts and Leading Hand Simon Noakes from climbing.
The options for Sports Coach of the Year are men's rugby union's Chief Petty Officer Dave Pascoe, triathlon's Lieutenant Commander Sam Thompson and climbing's Sergeant Andy Hunter.
