Army rugby league star Bombardier Bethan Dainton is set to play in the final of the Betfred Women's Challenge Cup after helping Wigan Warriors to a dominant 52-0 victory over York Valkyrie in the semi-final.

The Welsh international, who joined Wigan Warriors for the 2026 season after three years with Leeds Rhinos, is on a good run of form in the Women's Challenge Cup after scoring six tries in the first three games ahead of the Warriors' tie against the Valkyries.

The Loose Forward, who serves in the 39th Regiment Royal Artillery, will now be a key player for the Warriors when they face St. Helens at Wembley on 30 May, where they will seek their second consecutive Challenge Cup title.

Dainton appeared in the 2023 and 2024 Challenge Cup final at Wembley for Leeds Rhinos, falling short on both occasions.
