British Army beaten by Cardiff Demons in important Women's Super League South clash

Watch: Manuqalo Komaitai's stunning Army try in the defeat in Wales.

The British Army women's rugby league team have suffered their second defeat of the season in the Super League South competition.

They were beaten 32-10 by Cardiff Demons in Wales leaving them in fourth in the league table.

A determined first-half performance saw the Army score twice, including a stunning try from Manuqalo Komaitai which can be watched in the video above, but were down by six points at the break.

In the second half, the Demons ran away with it as they doubled their score and won by a 22-point margin.

The Army's cause wasn't helped by the sin-binning of scrum-half Isabel Bibby before half-time for a high tackle.

With just one game to go against Bedford Tigers on 5 August, the Army's hopes of qualification for the knock-out finals remain in the balance.
