The 2022 Commonwealth Cup has kicked off in Plymouth with a winning start for the Royal Navy.

In the opening match, they beat their counterparts from New Zealand by 26-12.

Alligin Photography were there catching all the action and we've collated some of the best pictures for you to enjoy.

The Navy were looking to bounce back from disappointment at Twickenham in April when they were beaten by the British Army.

If the Navy beat their Australian rivals on Friday in Plymouth, they will win the 2022 Commonwealth Cup.
