Royal Navy U23s suffer heavy defeat against Bristol University

WATCH: Highlights from Bristol University v Royal Navy U23s.

The Royal Navy under-23s rugby union team have been well beaten at the hands of students from Bristol University.

A scrappy first half saw the university lead by 14 points - and it got a lot worse for the Navy after the break.

Bristol ran in five more converted tries to secure a 49-5 win, with Josh Turnham on the scoresheet for the Senior Service.

The Navy will hope to learn from these lessons ahead of big clashes with the Army U23s and RAF U23s in the Inter Services.

Their first match is on 15 November against the RAF in Witney.
