The UK Armed Forces women's rugby union team have won the Plate tournament at the International Defence Rugby Competition in New Zealand.

Despite crashing out of the main tournament, a 44-11 win over Tonga means the British team come home with some silverware.

Try scorers for UKAF included Jess McAuley, Louise Dodd, Kat Robertson and captain Sian Williams on her final service rugby match.

It was also a farewell to military rugby for the Army's Bev Gilbert and Erica Mills.

It's a good end to a tough tournament for UKAF after defeats to Fiji and Australia ended their hopes of a triumph in the main tournament.

Meanwhile, the UKAF men's rugby union team will be in action next month for their Remembrance fixture.

They will face Gloucester United at Kingsholm Stadium on 9 November and you can watch it live with us.
