The men's and women's Inter Services singles tennis titles have been decided at the The All England Lawn Tennis Club in Wimbledon.

The location of one of tennis' most prestigious tournaments saw the RAF's Flight Lieutenant James Marchant retain his men's title for successive seasons.

The RAF Shawbury-based star saw off the challenge of Royal Navy number one Dev Chowdhury and Army top seed Marco Wright.

In a tight battle with the Army man, Marchant eventually saw off his rival winning the second set and the match courtesy of a tie break.

In the women's tournament, British Army's Captain Holly Fleming was crowned women's champion in her first ever Inter Services.

The Wiltshire-based doctor recorded impressive victories over Royal Air Force top seed Andrea Jackson and Royal Navy number one Olivia Stapley on her way to winning the competition.

The doubles competition will complete the championship on Wednesday.
