Royal Marine kicks off bobsleigh campaign with silver medal

Marine Taylor Lawrence has opened his 2022/23 bobsleigh season with a silver medal in Whistler for Great Britain.

Mne Lawrence was competing alongside Winter Olympian Brad Hall in the first two-man event.

The GB duo put in an impressive time of 1:43:36 and narrowly missed out on gold by just four-hundredths of a second to Switzerland.

This is the first event of the new season and the positive result in Canada sets a benchmark for GB's aims.

They will now look to compete in the four-man events on Saturday.
