Camouflage uniforms – as we know them today – originated with the likes of pre-war Italy and Nazi Germany, since when their use has been adopted worldwide.

The idea of a camouflage pattern is to help the wearer blend in with their surroundings, making them less visible to the enemy – after all, one of the main aims of Fieldcraft is to see without being seen.

Dozens, if not hundreds of designs have appeared over the past few decades, and as Ukraine and Germany are now adopting new camouflage patterns across more personnel, we're challenging BFBS Forces News readers to find out how well they know their camouflage.

So take a look at the images below and see how you get on!
